Horse racing value scanner

What the scanner does

Three things, every minute, every race day:

1. Builds an independent tissue price for every runner using our quant model.
2. Pulls live decimal odds from every major bookmaker and the Betfair exchange.
3. Flags every horse where the bookmaker price is bigger than the tissue — i.e. value.

What you see for each runner

• Tissue — the model's fair-value decimal price
• Best book — highest bookmaker price right now (with the bookmaker name)
• Edge % — how much value the price represents
• Confidence band — A (high) / B (medium) / C (low) data quality
• Race meta — course, off time, distance, going, race class

Filters that matter

• Minimum edge (e.g. show only 10%+ overlays)
• Course or country (UK / IRE)
• Race type (handicap, novice, group)
• Going (good, soft, heavy, all-weather)
• Confidence band — hide LOW-confidence races if you want only the cleanest signals

Confidence bands explained

Not every race has the same model certainty. Small fields, unraced juveniles or missing ratings lower the confidence score. The scanner shows a per-runner band, and any race containing a LOW runner gets a warning banner — treat those prices as indicative only.

How to use it in 5 minutes a morning

1. Open the scanner at 9am.
2. Sort by edge, filter to 10%+ and confidence A or B.
3. Take the early price with the bookmaker shown.
4. Optionally lay back on Betfair as the price shortens (back-to-lay).
