Ascot racing tips
Ascot hosts the biggest flat meeting of the year (Royal Ascot) and one of the deepest jumps cards (Sodexo weekend). Both demand a model that handles the round mile track, the straight 6, and the unique stamina test on the round course.
Ascot's two faces
- The round course — undulating mile and beyond, stamina-heavy, suits proven Ascot horses
- The straight — 5f to 1m, draw and pace bias depending on the stand-side rail position
- Jumps — flat fences but a stiff uphill finish; tests stamina more than most realise
Meetings we model
- Royal Ascot (June)
- King George Diamond Weekend (July)
- Shergar Cup (August)
- QIPCO British Champions Day (October)
- November jumps meeting (Sodexo Gold Cup weekend)
- December jumps meeting
Where Ascot value lives
- Wokingham and Hunt Cup-style big-field handicaps — pricing is often soft on outsiders
- Listed and Group 3 races where a 'pretender' tries above its class
- Heritage handicap chases in winter — pace and stamina projections matter
